Yesterday Suhani kissed me on my eye and when I asked her “why did you not kiss me on my cheek?”. She replied back  “Eye-lid is also special cheek, for your eye”

Shivani was saying few non-realistic silly things to Suhani and both kept laughing. When I was checking with her whether what she said was true or not, Shivani kept saying that she was kidding. At last, Suhani said “Akka, you are a good ‘kidder’.”

One day when we were visiting MCP,temple, I was explaining kids about each deity, which were beautifully carved in marble. I was explaining about Saibaba vigraham and Suhani asked me “why did not Chaitu pinni have a statue here?”. I was wondering how did Chaitu pinni come into the picture and she kept asking me why. I said Chiatu pinni statue will not be here. Suhani said “Why not? When “Sai babai” has a statue, why not Chaitu pinni?”

Sai is my brother in law ie Chaitu’s husband. So when I said Saibaba she thought I was talking about her babai (uncle) - Sai.

This was long time back, when Suhani was learning about 5 senses. My first question was, “why do we need eyes?”, she answered “To see”. Second one was about nose, she answered “To smell”, third one was touch, she replied back “To touch friends”, fourth was “why do we need ears?” and she replied back “For Earrings”.

I only remembered the above as Suhani was asking me this morning “why do we need back?” I said “To sit”. Then she asked “Why do we need shoulders?” I was thinking…and thinking and she said “To dance”. Next one was “why do we need neck?” I did not know how to answer, so I was making up something and she thought my dumb answer was right and said  ”Amma, how do you know all these things? who taught you all these?”. Then I realised, as soon as I go to work, I need to visit wikipedia.org.
