Whenever Dp goes out on a bussiness trip, we three usually eat out and do things what both girls usually love to do. Following the same ritual, I placed an order for Pizza and added bread sticks upon Suhi’s request.
After eating bread sticks she was not much interested in Pizza, but just to make me happy she eat a half piece and playing with the rest. I shouted at her as she was rubbing the leftover piece against sofa. She was leaning against sofa and said she was in TimeOut. I was wondering why she was in Time out when I did NOT give her one. I observed her for few minutes and asked her to finish her pizza. She replies back saying “Kids cannot do anything in timeout not even ‘eating’. So I am not supposed to eat Pizza,and I do not want Pizza”

Shivani got homework about words that end with ‘et’. While she was reading them all I was explaining the meaning for few words. She was stuck at ‘Duet’. I explained that ‘duet’ means something done by 2 people(duo/dual). Then the immediate next word was ‘forget’ so she asked me whether four people work together.

I wanted to surprise kids with dinner on a Friday evening when DP picked up kids. BTW, DP picking up kids is not very unusual chore. Anyways, I got them 6pc nuggets + spicy chicken sandwich for Shivani and 10pc nuggets for Suhani from McDonalds. After I got home I realized that Suhani was upset cause her sister got something more. BTW Suhani does not like spicy sandwich, but both were arguing about sandwich. Argument turned into fight and it turned into tears. So I got fed up and said “No more surprises as you girls are not happy with what I got. From next time I will not be bringing home any food ”. Shivani paused for a minute and said “Amma, that is not the solution. The solution is getting a sandwich for each one of us”.
