If a=b and b=c then a=c

Suhani came running to kitchen and said “Amma, akka threw your saree on floor from the desk”. Shivani complained that Suhani did that and not her. Then immediately Suhani said “Akka pushed me, so I fell on the desk and saree got pushed down. So akka made me do it. So akka did it”.

KedaraSwamy Vratam - 2008

We performed annual Kedaraswamy vratam at our house yesterday, on the last Monday of Karthika Masam - Nov 24th, 2008. Sai gaaru performed the puja and as usual he did an awesome job. Most of our friends attended and blessed us.

Aparna and Padma Damu were big help for us in cooking. We made garalu, poornaalu, mamidikai pulihora, kobbari pacchadi, tomato/dosakai pappu, chaaru, dondkai/besan fry, coconut sambhar and yogurt. We will be leaving Chicago in few minutes to visit our sister Harini. We will be publishing pictures soon while at Hari’s house.

One shot two birds

DP was so busy from last 3 days he harldy made a visit to home. He continously worked for 2 nights and kids did not get to see him for 2 nights. They were really missing him. Yesterday, after coming from school, Suhani started making a card for her class teacher Ms Yvonne. Btw, Ms Yvonne’s collar bone broke few weeks back and wears a cast. She wrote ” Ms Yvonne - collar bone - I love you - from Suhani”, ofcourse taking help from me. She also drew some pictures and painted them. Shivani also started drawing and coloring a rainbow and glued few stickers and wrote - I love you dad etc. Now Suhani wanted to give her’s to Dad. So I asked her to make a new one as it has Ms Yvonne’s name. But she did not have time nor interest to start all over again. Both folded their sheets and had put them in envelope and wrote “To Dad” on it and placed them in his bathroom.

When he came home, both were excited and asked him to visit bathroom. And when dad asked her about Ms Yvonne’s card she said - “This card is for you and I wanted to tell you that Ms Yvonne broke her collar bone, so is the reason for her name all over it”.

I am sure she will give the same card the next day to her teacher saying that “I made this for you”.

Power

Suhani was drinking milk from a tumbler with one hand and messing things with the other. While I was watching her I felt like the chances of her dropping the tumbler went up really high . I warned her but as usual she was busy in what she was doing. So I shouted at her “I will break your bones if you spill milk”. Within minutes she replied back “I only thought milk can make your bones stronger but I never knew it had power to break bones”.
