We went to drop parents at my sister’s house in Chicago for July long weekend. We started July 2nd Thursday morning with girls, luggage (month long)and their bikes. We reached in the evening and went to Keeravani’s Musical show organized by CTA. From next day started our TANA saga which ended late night saturday. Hari and Shiva performed in 4 or 5 cultural programs and both did an awesome job. My parents enjoyed the whole event and was impressed by looking at these talented american born kids performing to indian classical tunes. It was an awe struck feeling seeing so many telugu familes getting together. It was just like being in India. I take it back. It was just like being in Andhra Pradesh.

Next day we went to Maduri’s house for dinner and Shivani as usual got engrossed watching TV, holding her dinner plate in her hands for long time. Shiva was pushing hard to make her eat. He said “Shivani dinner is getting cold, all the nutrients are getting evaporated into air, so eat fast”. She came into this real world and said “Ok then, I will just eat air”.
